About our home

Our home was a 18th century Gentleman's residence. All the rooms are large and pleasent including a fairly grand staircase with a huge Westmorland window. There is a large cooks kitchen with a victorian range and modern alternative. A very spacious family house with some great views as we are in an elivated position and in winter you can see the sea. Roll top bath with walk in shower, wood burning stoves and plenty of toys and games. Trampoline in garden.

    Cark is a 10 minute drive to Lake Windermere and 5 minutes to Grange Over Sands. Historic Cartmel is 2 miles down the road. We are very close to a quiet beach and less than a mile from Holker Hall home of Lord Cavendish. There is a train station which links to the West coast mainline and direct connections to Manchester and the Airport. There is also a local bus link to the various villages and Kendal.

    Brilliant walking and hiking. Mountains and Grizedale forest close by. Local childrens farm. Grange has excellent parks and sea front walking. Auarium of the Lakes, Dalton Zoo, Haverthwaite Steam railway. TO be honest there are lots of places to go see and do.
